I think he's done a good job with the talent he inherited. It just hurts to not be in the chase for another National Championship at this time of year.

Does anyone else find it odd that the 9th place in the SEC LSU Tigers are facing the number #1 team in the nation Vanderbilt Comodores this weekend????

WHAT HAPPENED??? What's more bizarre LSU being unranked and so far away from the Bertman glory or Vandy being Number one in a sport besides...uh... Men's Championship Chess??

This is why football is my favorite ...uh..LSU football... is my favorite sport. You will never see Vandy number 1 in the nation.

Some friendly advice for LSU fans: Enough already!
Worry about your own program. Quit trying to undermine about the only good thing that has come your way in 20 years. I understand the jealousy and the antipathy toward Nick Saban for walking out two years ago.
So he's back now in the SEC at rival Alabama and it's only natural to let that get under your skin and create a firestorm over anything and everything. Don't worry about it. Be proud of your coach. He's done a good job of taking the foundation that Saban built and getting the least out of it.
Oh, I know Les Miles' record is 22-4 and all of you folks can revel in the Sugar Bowl trophy over a punching bag better known as Notre Dame (which has lost nine straight bowl games). However, does anyone really think the good times are going to continue? Deep down, most folks in Louisiana know Saban would have likely walked off with a national championship this year. No team had more talent. It was there for the taking. Maybe even last year. Who knows?
One thing is for sure. LSU folks wouldn't have booed Saban (like they did Miles) in 2005 at halftime of the debacle better known as the Tennessee loss. Now, that was class. Really impressive stuff.
Of course, since when has class and LSU football ever been mentioned in the same sentence?
In some respects, LSU folks remind me of Ole Miss when Tommy Tuberville left for Auburn. ....
