It was October 1997
When ESPN first came to town
The Gameday poem was born
And the #1 Gators went down
That was the beginning of the end for Gerry
Many wins have since gone by
We've seen the very best years of LSU Football
It's time for the Gameday poem to say goodbye
But first things first
We have a bowl game to play
I have a special loathing for the Aggies
They remind me of the bad old days
Things are very different now
For A&M, it's been a bad 10 or so years
Remember Dennis Francione?
Stop laughing now, and do wipe your tears
Who doesn't love an Aggie joke?
They just don't ever get old
What's the punchline to this one?
It starts with Purple and ends with Gold

Blown defenses and the usual offense struggles lead to a loss at War Memorial Stadium.
but hey LSU is 10-2. Not too shabby. Losing to the #2 and the #8 BCS teams.
Damn why does the SEC WEST have to be the best conference in the country right now?
Spurrier had it easy in the 90's when the rest of the conference was crap.
Saban had it easy in the early 2000's when he could win the conference with 3 losses.
Now one loss and you're done.
congratulations Les Miles on another 10 win season...now please go find another offensive coordinator... I can't take much more of the Crowton experience.

There are so many reasons to be thankful
But s something we must not disregard
You won’t see last week’s score
On any Ole Miss fan’s Christmas card
A thanks and best wishes to PP7
We’ll cheer for you no matter where you may be
Our Tigers will always be Tigers
On this we can all agree
So, Bama choked with abandon
And Oregon won’t be denied
Our sites are set on the Sugar
When our offense is hitting its stride?
The advance scouting on Mallet
Says you hit him, and he cries like a girl
Methinks that Mr. Drake Nevis
Might be interested in giving it a whirl
A season of frustration and excitement
Of endless speculation and chatter
The Crazy Train is full speed ahead
Hop aboard. Take another ride with the Mad Hatter
