I remember it like it was yesterday... it was raining from every direction...even from the ground up... Miami ranked #3 came to Baton Rouge... we were going to show them what SEC football was all about...after all LSU was ranked #11 and it was Saturday Night in Death Valley... WELL...the GAME ABSOLUTELY SUCKED.. WE got pummelled 44 to frickin 3...... and I swore that night ...on any other night...we'd beat those convicts from Miami...and when can we get those jokers again....

December 4th, 2005....

Yes it wasn't a dream LSU got killed by UGA... but wait... 17 years have passed since that night...many coaches have come and gone...many Miami players from that team may have even made parole by now...but here it is...the Peach Bowl has Selected LSU to face Miami... 17 years...I've waited for redemption....

the Grinch that Stole Christmas...2004 version...

ah..yes...its almost been a year since the Grinch Stole Christmas.. Now don't get me wrong I truly appreciate all the Nick Saban (the guy on the right in the pic above next to LSUAL) brought to Louisiana and LSU but the way it ended was a litte off (yes Nick your timing stinks). If the trauma of the event has clouded your memory...here's a little refresher. It was on Christmas DAY of 2004 that Nick made that decision to leave LSU and Louisiana for that other hurricane magnet known as south Florida to attempt to coach the spoiled overpaid 'athletes' of the Miami Dolphins (the 5th best team in the state of Florida).

So here we are a year later... Nick went on to lose one more game for the Tigers... in steps Les Miles and the Tigers are 10-2. Yes 10-2... tis not bad... .

Perspective...

It was all put into perspective for me the week after the debacle in Atlanta....I was at Drusilla Seafood in B.R...and what do I see on the wall... an autographed picture of Curley Hallman...yes fans ...we're much better off than "THE DARK TIMES" ....

Long Live LSU!!!!

Okay... two weeks til the revenge game...

Revenge for that 44-3 debacle in Tiger Stadium in 1988. Mike Archer's Tigers got slammed by Steve Walsh and the Convicts in what may have just been a late season hurricane.....

Two weeks...and 17 years later.....in the bowl soon to be called only the CHICK-FIL-A-Bowl (nice!!) ... we'll get to see what was pre-season last year billed as the potential matchup for the 2004 National Championship... well we know that didn't happen... but some writers are calling this one a potential pre-matchup of the 2006 National Championship Game.
