Ready to get fired up???

Last football season, Appalachian State defeated the University of Michigan in the "Big House" on the first game of the season. Appalachian State went on to win their third straight National Championship for teams in the 1AA Division. This year, Appalachian State is scheduled to play LSU the first game of the season, at LSU. So, be sure to watch the game, and watch this "trailer" which was produced to send to Appalachian State supporters.

Outstanding Season...

Omaha...toast... UNC 7 - LSU 3 ....

Great season Tigers. Who would have thought back in April that LSU would be a few pitches away from advancing to championship week of the CWS.

Great game tonite (the longest game in history)... two days of baseball decided by a Grand Slam by the evil Tar Heels. What the Hell is Tar Heel anyway??? WTF is that???

I'll rant here for a second... hey ESPN!!! Why did you have to Show f'in Roy Williams every inning in the stands? Isn't he a basketball coach? I don't remember you guys showing the UNC baseball coach that much?? I digress.....

Geaux Tigers!!! Here's to one hell of a baseball season that came up just a little short......

LSU scores five runs in ninth to rally by UC Irvine
Updated: June 8, 2008, 9:27 PM ET

LSU Defeats UC Irvine
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- LSU scored five runs in the ninth inning, including Sean Ochinko's go-ahead single, as the Tigers rallied to stave off elimination in their super regional series with a 9-7 win over UC Irvine on Sunday.
The deciding third game at LSU's Alex Box Stadium is Monday night.
Trailing 7-4, LSU (47-17-1) loaded the bases with no outs when Jared Mitchell, who homered in the eighth, walked to force in a run. Pinch-hitter Nicholas Pontiff drove in a run on a fielder's choice, Blake Dean hit an RBI single to tie it and Ochinko followed with a chopper over the third baseman's head to drive in the go-ahead run. DJ LeMahieu's sacrifice fly capped the rally.
Louis Coleman (7-0) allowed one hit in the final three innings for LSU, which had its 23-game winning streak ended the night before. The Tigers struggled against UC Irvine starter Daniel Bibona, who scattered nine hits over 7 1/3 innings, but got to work against the Anteaters' bullpen.
Closer Eric Pettis (4-3) entered in the eighth and allowed five runs on five hits in one inning to take the loss for UC Irvine (42-17).
