Football cannot get here fast enough.
Smoke Laval cannot leave town fast enough...but we all know Skipper is going to stick with his friend as the death spiral of the once proud LSU baseball program continues...
I used to look forward to the first week of June..that's when the CWS used to take place..and for most of my life its seem LSU was there. Now the CWS is a month later and the LSU baseball team is about 6 years behind......
2000 - the last of the 5 CWS championships...
LSU's next freshman class will consist of people who were 11-12 the last time LSU won it all...and were 7-8 years old when Warren Morris smacked the most memorable homerun in college baseball history....
Sad... it's over..done.....no championship leadership to pass on to the next team....just an enigma of a coach, with more detracters than fans.....and a strange stranglehold on job security...(Moral of the story... NEVER let a coach pick his successor)
