It's greater than the W-L column
When it leaves you wanting more

I cheer my Fighting Tigers
Sometimes a bit too loud
We're passionate and serious
And always very proud

I miss my Fighting Tigers
I'm much too far away
I envy every Saturday Night
I'm not there to see them play

I'm thankful for my Tigers
And my days at LSU
Coaches come and coaches go
But we are forever true

I'll always be a Tiger
Like those that take the field
And those that watch around the world
Our hearts will never yield

It's Gameday by Jill...

Thanks #32...We love ya, Chuck!

Is it conspiracy or incompetence?
The replay controversy isn't fleeting
Are they dirty or just blind?
I mean...
It's not like Bama has a rep for cheating.

One more- Charles Scott for Heisman!
Or maybe 2010 rookie of the year
We wish you the best on Sundays, Chuck
Wherever you are, we'll cheer

So we're again down a quarterback
Bite your fingernails, steel your nerves
Good thing we're playing the Techsters
And Boise State already set the curve

Crowns, corsages and tissue paper
It's Homecoming week again
Rant if you must about the particulars
Your Fighting Tigers will chalk up another win

This Week's Tiger Bait... La Tech....

How to get over Refgate and the Loss to Little Nicky.... simple... BEAT DOWN LA. TECH coached by Little Nicky disciple Derek Dooley.

Yes the Tiger are banged up and we'll get to see J. Lee ,Ridley and KW take care of a 3-6 Tech Team..... it could be the last night game in Tiger Stadium for 2009 and the weather will be spectacular... so get your Tailgate Game on.... grab some food, beverages and few friends and spend the day brainstorming on what you would do to fix the SEC Ref problem....then head into Death Valley and cheer the Tigers on to a beat down of Tech .... and I don't care what they say... they...TECH isn't even the 3rd based Engineering School in the state.... they are saved from having the bottom spot...by Tulane... which K-O'd it's engineering school it was so bad.......

What's gonna happen.....

D. Dooley's team will have for a quarter then the BEAT DOWN BEGINS!!!
Shepard for over 100 yards rushing, KW for 75, Ridley for 150 and J. Lee for 200 yards of passing and NO Pick SIXES!!!

LSU 57 La Tech 13

GEAUX TIGERS!!

oh and as an added Bonus... Little Nicky's bunch loses a close one to Miss St. Holding will be called all day on Nicky's crew as the SEC Refs are under the microscope......

CFN Prediction..

Louisiana Tech (3-6) at LSU (7-2), 7:00 EST, Saturday, November 14, ESPNU

Why to watch: Both teams are coming off of crushing conference losses, with LSU losing a battle at Alabama as hard hitting and as rough as any SEC game this year, and with Louisiana Tech roaring back to give Boise State a hard time in the second half in a 45-35 home loss. The Bulldogs have to win out to be bowl eligible, and that’s not going to happen with a trip to Fresno State up next week before closing out with a near-certain win against San Jose State. LSU is beaten up and is way due to come up with a mediocre performance in a meaningless game. The Tigers can’t go to the BCS, Alabama and Florida will take up the SEC’s two spots, and the rest of the league is just bad enough that they can go through the motions and end up with a New Year’s Day bowl. The real work comes next week at Ole Miss and closing out against Arkansas, and if LSU suffers an upset, nothing will be bruised but a few egos.

Why Louisiana Tech might win: Does LSU really have the SEC’s worst offense? Yes, and it’s not going to get a lot better with star RB Charles Scott out for the year with a broken clavicle and with QB Jordan Jefferson hobbling with an ankle injury. The team’s focus is going to be almost completely on Ole Miss, and the last thing it can afford is to not have Jefferson over the final two games. Does that mean more Jarrett Lee under center? If so, Louisiana Tech, with its ability to hang on to the ball, has a good chance to make this interesting. The mediocre LSU attack won’t get any freebies; it’ll have to score on long drives.

Why LSU might win: LSU’s defense might not be getting into the backfield and it might not be hitting the quarterback, but it should be able to tee off on the Bulldog running game. Against WAC teams, having a few speedsters like Phillip Livas and Daniel Porter can make all the difference, but that’s not going to work this week against the ultra-athletic Tiger D. Louisiana Tech’s wins have come against Nicholls State, Hawaii, and New Mexico State, all at home. This has been a disappointing year for the Bulldogs, and they have yet to prove they can beat someone with a pulse.

Who to watch: So now what is the LSU running game going to do without Scott? He ran for 83 yards against Alabama averaging 6.4 yards per carry, and now it’s going to take a slew of players to try to get the ground game going. Stevan Ridley got two carries and came up with a nice score against Alabama, Russell Shepard went nowhere, but will keep getting the ball, and Trindon Holliday will likely be used in a variety of ways. Ridley will likely be the main man now, with good size, nice power, and nice moves considering he’s coming off a knee injury. This is the sophomore’s chance to shine, and he needs to make the most of the opportunity.
What will happen: LSU will be uninspired, will want to get several backups in early, and it’ll still win without too much of a problem after Tech comes up with a few early scores.
CFN Prediction: LSU 34 … Louisiana Tech 6 ... Line: LSU -24.5

If this cleat mark could talk ... it'd confirm that Patrick Peterson's fourth-quarter interception should've counted for LSU.
Andy Staples/Special to SI.com

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- With 5:54 remaining in Alabama's 24-15 win against LSU, Tigers cornerback Patrick Peterson appeared to intercept Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy between LSU's 31 and 32-yard lines. At the time, LSU trailed Alabama by six points.

Officials initially ruled that Peterson caught the ball out of bounds, but the immediate reaction along the LSU sideline suggested another look was in order. Referee Thomas Ritter announced the play would be reviewed. While replay official Gerald Hodges reviewed video of the play, CBS showed several replays that appeared to show Peterson getting not one, but two feet down before falling out of bounds. After several minutes, Ritter announced that Hodges had upheld the call on the field.

"When I caught the ball, I tried to get two feet in. I believe I got two feet in," Peterson said. "Definitely, the foot mark was left on the field. Not even on the white. It was on the green."

After interviewing Peterson, I returned to the field, where I snapped a few photos of a small gash in the field between the 31- and 32-yard lines. A video replay confirmed that this was the same spot where Peterson caught McElroy's pass. There is no way to confirm that Peterson's foot made the mark; it could have been made at any point during the game. But judging by video replays, Peterson's left foot --which landed first -- would have made an identical mark on the disputed play.

What do you believe? Your own eyes? Or the eyes of the SEC Referees headquartered in Birmingham Alabama.

LSU trailed by 6 and would have had the ball near midfield. What would have happened...we will never now.

Rule 2 Section 2
ARTICLE 5

1. If one foot first lands inbounds and the receiver has possession
and control of the ball, it is a catch or interception even though a
subsequent step or fall takes the receiver out of bounds.

Section 3:
1. The above does not apply if any negative ramifications come upon the Florida Gators or Alabama Crimson Tide.

..well folks..this does it for me this season...the SEC has now turned into the equivalent of WWE for me. I've never seen such blatant officiating control of games in my life. Okay.... So the SEC wants UF vs. Bama all season and they got ...congratulations.....

It's Gameday by Jill....

BEAT BAMA

Familiarity breeds contempt
And in certain circumstances leads to hate
When everything is on the line
Isn't SEC Football great?

The Tiger offense is moving
They can do what it takes to get the job done
Somebody throw that ball to Jo Jo
Another trip to the end zone for #1

The tide touchdown troubles will continue
When the Tiger D lowers the boom
when Ingram meets Rahim Alem
And his little brother, The Dreadlocks of Doom

How's that Kool Aid, bammers?
Does it taste so sweet, at long last?
Don't raise those cups too quickly
Your glory days are still in the past

Another season of disappointment
Those dreams just won't come true
Poof! there goes your momentum
You're welcome. Love, LSU

CFN Prediction... BOOO HISSS...

Game of the Week

LSU (7-1) at Alabama (8-0), 3:30 EST, Saturday, November 7, CBS

Why to watch: Alabama still has a nasty, scary road rivalry game at Auburn to deal with, along with a road trip to Mississippi State, and LSU has to go to Ole Miss and has an always tough (for LSU) game against Arkansas, but for all intents and purposes, this should decide the SEC West title and it will go a long way to further the national title discussion. Either Alabama will win and will keep careening to a clash with Florida for the SEC title, and the BCS Championship game, or LSU will pull off a huge road victory and will suddenly be in the hunt for the national title.

LSU blasted Tulane 42-0 last week getting huge production on the ground and an efficient day from the passing attack, but that was Tulane. One of Conference USA’s lowest bottom-feeders wasn’t going to have a chance against the Tigers’ second team, much less the top players, and that wasn’t necessarily a great indication of what LSU could really do. However, the 31-10 win over Auburn a few weeks earlier showed that things might be jelling and coming together at the right time, and this might be the perfect chance to catch a Bama team that’s been begging to be tagged.

With two weeks off, the Tide will be rested and ready coming off the scary 12-10 win over Tennessee thanks to a blocked field goal. The 20-6 win over South Carolina wasn’t impressive, the offense sputtered a bit in a 22-3 win over Ole Miss, and Kentucky was the better team for roughly 40 minutes in a 38-20 Tide win. Style points don’t matter, Alabama will play for the national title if its 13-0, but it’s time for the team to start playing more like a true national title contender. Florida flexed its muscles last week against Georgia, and now it’s Bama’s turn. If not, LSU will go from being an afterthought in the SEC title chase to being in the thick of the national title discussion.

Why LSU might win: The Alabama passing game went from excellent, to mediocre, to awful. QB Greg McElroy threw for over 200 yards in each of the first four games, with his high moment the 17-of-24, 291-yard, three touchdown day against Arkansas. Ever since then, the offense has had to rely only on the running game, which isn’t a bad thing, and the great defense, but McElroy has become a liability and the team has had to hide him. Sound familiar, LSU fans? It’s not like last year for the Tigers, when they had to do everything possible to keep their quarterbacks from throwing thanks to Jarrett Lee’s penchant for giving the ball to the other team, but Bama isn’t exactly letting McElroy take any chances. The LSU defense has been the real deal, even though the line isn’t playing anywhere close to the high standards the program usually sets. The Tide isn’t going to find its passing groove this week.
Why Alabama might win: The Alabama offensive line has a huge advantage over the LSU defensive front. LSU doesn’t get to the quarterback, ranking last in the SEC in sacks, is mediocre at making lays behind the line, and is average against the run. Overall, the LSU run defense hasn’t been awful, but when push has come to shove, teams like Florida, Mississippi State and Auburn were able to shove. Alabama should be able to control the game with the ground attack and with the great pass rush. The Tide defense leads the SEC in sacks and tackles for loss, while LSU is shockingly poor in pass protection allowing a whopping 23 sacks so far.
Who to watch: LSU can’t win this game, or even stay in it, unless QB Jordan Jefferson comes up with a whopper of a performance. The sophomore has been good so far, completing 64% of his passes with 11 touchdowns and just four interceptions, but he hasn’t been special. He hasn’t been bad, and he certainly hasn’t been the reason the offense has lacked a consistent pop (the offensive line is to blame), but he’s being asked to carry the offense when the ground game doesn’t work. The ground game isn’t going to work. Jefferson is going to have to challenge the Tide secondary and he can’t play it close to the vest and hope for the best. That didn’t work against Florida and it’s not going to work against Bama. The Tide can be beaten, but it’s going to have to take a few risks for LSU and Jefferson to make it happen.
What will happen: This will be a clash of two defensive heavyweights. Each team will challenge the other to come through with the passing game, and while Jefferson and the Tigers will throw better, Mark Ingram and the Tide will run more. The major advantage up front for the Tide will be the difference.
CFN Prediction: Alabama 23 … LSU 13 ... Line: Alabama -9

Crowds..

To the Fan Police... I present to you... Miami vs. Clemson 2009....taken right as thug "U" takes the field... check out that crowd.... wow..... and they were #10 at the time. Looks like a Tulane game in the dome.....

Bama Week Ramblings....

Bama Week Ramblings....

Tigers did well Saturday and have now scored 72 points in two games. Not bad. Russell Shepard and getting the ball to Tolliver and Lafell will be key. Defense is primed for great things Saturday. I like our new rushing attack with the new Fullback…he can actually block…that should help as well. …and Saban is primed for his annual totally brainfartgame.

How bout Southern Cal…. Awesome performance…. How are they just 3 spots behind us in the BCS ???

We will win out… otherwise we’ll be greeted to IOWA or TX or UF vs TCU … or some combination thereof as the NC game.

Saban’s weakness…offense and arrogance. He’ll blame his team on Sunday morning for not being in position to win. Then they lose to Miss St and Auburn.

Off to Penn St. or Florida St. or the Raiders he goes in December. Why not…since I’m in prediction mode….

Team says they’ve been waiting for this one since the loss last year. They have looked like it. The close we get the better we play. JJ was quoted as we are playing this one like it is our National Championship game. UF was big but this is oooo soo much bigger in reality. … we can get UF again…this is the shot to take Bama out of the NC hunt and win the West. In the grand scheme of goals…this is the bigger rung in the ladder

1. SEC West – Win the west – beat Bama, Ole Miss, Arky

2. SEC Championship Game – Beat UF

3. BCS National championship Game – Beat Tejas or TCU

Saban is 11-10 (or maybe 10-11?) after an open date. Who did they play last week? A typical sign of the way Saban over analyzes everything and makes his players tight after 2 weeks of pounding. How does Les do when he has time to prepare (i.e. Bowl Games)?

Heard clips of the press conferences this morning.

Saban: This is a big game because it is the next one on the schedule….. blah…blah….blah….

Les: This is a big game. This is why you play football. Two quality opponents fighting with all the excitement an emotion.
