Kirston Pittman wants another BCS ring
Craig Steltz looks to add another to his family
Playing for a National Championship is a rare and special thing
Keith Zinger, also playing for his 2nd, would agree

Matt Flynn’s patience now has its reward
He waited, and he has earned this chance
He’s not ever going to be a first round draft pick
But his leadership has brought him to college football’s biggest dance

Let’s talk about the Ohio State Buckeyes
Their bowl record vs. The SEC is 0-8
Notre Dame was sure they’d break their losing streak last year
Does anyone need a reminder of their fate?

ESPN is in an ’03 time warp
They want so badly to make other teams matter
The National Championship game is right here and right now
Anything else is just chatter

This damn fine football team has persevered
With their heart and fight they have earned this attention
