Gone are the days of Phat Phil Fulmer and gone are the days of that little Kiffen kid as Head Coach. The latest edition is Derek Dooley son of the Georgia Coaching Legend Vince Dooley and if you recall Tiger fans - an LSU assistant on the 2003 NC LSU Squad.
Year two of his Tenn-uh-cee career and a few years into his Head Coaching career and all Derek has to show are two ‘moral’ victories over LSU as the La Tech Coach and UT. But Moral victories make not a long coaching career in the SEC as ESPN has already listed him on the Coaching hotseat….
You remember last year’s fiasco..LSU scores on the first play, had 4 turnovers in between and had the brilliant clock mismanagement/13 Tennessee player ending…with a Stevan Ridley TD to seal the thing….
Tenn is without their starting QB, RB and TE and have lost to Florida and Georgia….

By the 4th quarter Charlie Weiss will be more interested in Cajun cooking than calling 3 and outs for this ailing offense….

Kentucky Rant
#1 LSU vs. A very Bad Football Team (KY)
Okay I'm not scared me. This game has been circled on the calendar since 2007.
This is a revenge game against a bad opponent.
The last time these two teams played it took KY 3 overtimes to defeat #1 LSU and make the 2007 Championship filled with trips to the drugstore for more Prilosec.
Kentucky was good and ranked that year. This is different. They are bad. This is revenge.
Nevermind that it's 11:21 AM kickoff.... Mimosa, Screwdriver, Bloody Mary, Double shot of Coffee...whatever you need ..get it in you... This is WAR!!!

Big game brewing: Though he doesn't offer a prediction on who will win Saturday's showdown between the No. 2 LSU Tigers and the No. 16 West Virginia Mountaineers, Charleston Daily Mail Sports Editor Jack Bogaczyk does have some other interesting numbers in his column this week. "Through two games, Mountaineer Field vendors have gone through 38,750 bottles of beer and 22 kegs with beer priced from $7-9," he writes, "producing a beer sales gross of $281,453." Bogaczyk goes on to note 12,000 fewer bottles of water have been sold through West Virginia's first two games. West Virginia's is one of very few college sports stadiums to allow beer sales.
When asked earlier this week if he'd like to see beer served in Tiger Stadium, coach Les Miles said he would "enjoy playing in front of a Tiger Stadium that occasionally had a beer."

Well ain’t this a kick in the head… GAME 1 #4 vs. #2….
Tropical Storm Lee on the Weather Channel
Hurricane Lee taking the Ducks by storm on ABC….

Losers to Auburn in the National Championship game last year are back… to lose again on the big stage. They still have a lot of offensive tools but their defense is a bunch of tools. Their crowd may be loud and proud but like their team, just can’t compete with LSU..and wow…how many ugly uniforms can one team have????

Hey Fightin’ Tigers Fight All the way (….some people took that a little to literal..) ….
LEE, Ware, Randle, Beckham and the rest lead offense against an untested Duck defense… a defense of Ducks vs. Tigers just gives you shivers don’t it??
Defense – MINGO!!! Mathieu!!!!! ATTACK!!!!
We’ve got the Golden Girls, A real Mascot, A real tradition, The Golden Band from Tigerland!!, real uniforms, real fans, THE CHIEF,,,,and oh yes… FEAR THE HAT!!!

And the #1 Gators went down
That was the beginning of the end for Gerry
Many wins have since gone by
We've seen the very best years of LSU Football
It's time for the Gameday poem to say goodbye
But first things first
We have a bowl game to play
I have a special loathing for the Aggies
They remind me of the bad old days
Things are very different now
For A&M, it's been a bad 10 or so years
Remember Dennis Francione?
Stop laughing now, and do wipe your tears
Who doesn't love an Aggie joke?
They just don't ever get old
What's the punchline to this one?
It starts with Purple and ends with Gold
