The bright white lights are twinkling
In the cool December breeze
There’s neither an icicle nor a snowflake in sight
On Canal Street’s sparkling Palm trees

It’s been a wacky crazy roller coaster season
And we still found our way to the Superdome
We goin’ to the Ship, baby
And it’s so much sweeter to play at home

The Vols couldn’t spoil our party
Beckwith sealed the deal with a pick
And now Herbstreit’s rumors are finally put to rest
We all knew Les wouldn’t pull a Nick

The tickets are so precious few
Find a barstool or your favorite comfy chair
All over the world the parties will be plentiful
LSU is everywhere

Friends and neighbors will gather
To cheer for the Purple and Gold
They’ll raise glasses to toast their Fighting Tigers
As they watch the Championship unfold

Season’s Greetings all you Tigers
May your days be merry and bright
Santa might be wearing red on Christmas
But January 7th, his jersey will be white

It’s just 2 more weeks until Gameday
Let’s count down till we do it again
Trophy raised, streamers falling and Jim Hawthorne saying...
